PRIMER PROJECT'24

I am creating a multifunctional public space to rejuvenate an underutilized urban area. This space  act as a lively center for community gatherings, cultural events, and recreational activities. Incorporating design-for-manufacturing and assembly principles to enhance construction efficiency and reduce environmental impact, while ensuring the space promotes inclusivity and accessibility.

The Viaduct Vista project aims to transform the underutilized Queensway Railway viaduct into a vibrant urban space, addressing neglected infrastructure while enhancing community life. Emphasizing sustainability, it uses materials like wood and aluminum. With interactive facilities like art galleries, play areas, and a flea market, it attracts visitors.

In the forested area of Clementi Forest, known for its jungle-like environment with no nearby facilities, installing a playground can enhance the hiking experience, lifting spirits and adding excitement to walks often associated only with nature.

The Bukit Timah Railway, a Historical Landmark once serving as a colonial-era station on the old Singapore-Malaysia line, now part of a long urban trail, is an ideal location for art gallery modules as they offer runners and cyclists passing by a convenient opportunity to explore the area's rich history since booths are strategically placed facing opposite directions so that runners and cyclists can easily view the displays from either direction.
